Dare2Share 2012

Dare2Share was AWESOME!! I'll start by  talking about the speakers.

There were three speakers. They all were great!

Greg Stier, Zane Black and Propaganda.

Greg, is the oldest and I think he's kind of the head of everything that goes on.

He had some of the best and funnest stories ever.

Like this one...

He was at a camp and he was the speaker and the first sermon he did, went way wrong and the kids got nothing out of it. That night he went to the camp counselors and asked if he could do his next sermon on judgment day. They didn't like the idea that much but they said ok. So he was working on it and he had been hearing that this kid was a great actor and he was new in his youth group so it would work great. He talked to the kid and he said he would do it. That night he started speaking and said "We are going to have judgment day". All the kids started to get a little freaked out. He said "I have the gift of prophecy... when people walk into the room I know what their sin is". He looks at the kid that's really good at acting and says "Come up here". The kid [John] says ''No'' Greg: "Get up here". John: "No" Greg: "GET UP HERE NOW"!! So the kid stands up and walks up there and sits down. Greg starts praying over him and then gets done, and says "I know that you're addicted to drugs. John: "No I'm not". Greg: "Yes you are, and it's crack cocaine". John: "I've never had a drug in my life". Greg: "You're going to stand here in front of God and say your not addicted drugs"? John started crying and said ''Yes I am'' and starts crying harder and goes running out of the church. Then this other kid stands up and says ''I'm the #$%* out of here! This is  %$#&@#$ crazy! Greg was like ''It's a joke I don't have the gift. I was just kidding.'' haha I love that story

Greg stier

Next is Zane.

He is my favorite! Plus he's really cute.

He mainly talked about his life before he was a Christian.

He told some very eye opening stories...

About his drugs and alcohol additions.

He just wrote this new book and it's really good! It's called ''Inzane''. Just like 'insane' but he used his name. :)

I think everyone should read it!

Zane Black

Next is Propaganda.

He had some pretty awesome stories from when he was a teacher

Like this one...

He hated when kids would be late to his class, so when the bell rang he would quickly run and lock the door. All the kids that were late would look at him like it was his fault they were late. He went to all the kids that were on time and said "We are going to play a joke on them". I'm going to ask you some really easy questions and you're going to give me the wrong answers. If you smile or laugh you get detention. He goes and unlocks the door and the kids that were late sit down. He starts teaching the class and draws a triangle on the white board and says ''What is this'' and a kid says ''a square'' then he says ''yes your right'' then he writes 2+2: and another kid says'' 5'' and he says ''yes that is right'' then a kid that was late says ''that's not a square that's a triangle'' then he says ''No its not. If you're going to be late to my class, then you can't tell me that I'm wrong."' Then he says "Raise your hand up if you think this is a triangle'' no one puts they hand up then he says ''who thinks this a square'' all the kids that were on time put their hands up and the kids that were late slowly start to put their hands up because they don't want to get in trouble. As soon as their hand goes up he says "No your wrong! You know that's not a square but you still put your hand up?'' Then he says "That's why you should come to my class on time''

He used that story to say that if you know something's a sin then it's a sin no matter what other people say.

Friday we got to the church at 4:20 and we were off at 4:30. At 5:30 we stopped to eat.

Some pretty funny things happened while we were eating. Some pretty random sayings... Like these...

I just bit my finger eating a fry -Michlyn

I'm choking on my throat -Michlyn

You need to get your man compass working -  Mr. Daugs

Then we headed to the church and got our wristbands and found our seats.

We got there right when the doors opened so we had time to go look around the huge church.

Then it started and they had this AWESOME drama! It was so good!

It was about these two girls... one who was a Christan and one who wasn't. They were best friends, and both died in a car crash. Then they went to this place and had judgment day. The girl who wasn't a Christan went to hell and the girl who was a Christan got to go to heaven and spent eternity with Jesus.

It was to show us that we need to reach out to our friends so that they can go to heaven with us.

 A skit from Friday night

On the way to our church that night, us four girls fell asleep in the car all in very weird spots... But still very comfortable spots. :)

Then when we got there we played a game of 'Sardines'. After the game, we all went to find a spot/room to sleep in...Girls downstairs - Guys upstairs.

I put a bunch of chairs together but I didn't sleep very well because the chairs kept falling apart.

We had to be up at 6:20 to get ready and be on the road at 7:15.

We were all still tired when we got up and, I slept on the way there. It just made me more tired.

When we got in there I was so exited for it to start I forgot I was tired. :)

Pastor Josh had to go to a meeting for the leader right when we got there but was back for the first break.

We had lunch at the church and quickly ate because we only had an hour and a half.

After lunch we got to go on stage to show the audience the actions to a song. Coolest thing ever!!!!

Waiting for it to start Saturday morning

Us on stage!

All the youth groups left to go out and try what they learned... so we went to a mall.

We did this thing called a "flash mob''. It's where everyone puts an alarm on their phones and when it goes off we all freeze. This year we all froze in the tebow position.

Well the people at the mall didn't like this so we got kicked out.

But from now on, I can say I got kicked out of a mall for praying!

After that we went to eat lunch and ice skate! I had never done it before.

I know thats weird - I live in Minnesota.

 Best weekend ever!!!!

I hope we get to go next year!
